Bruce Bennett

I’m married to Robyn and have four adult children with nine grandchildren.

I attend Orange Evangelical Church. Working from the present in reverse, I led OEC for 17 years as Senior minister. Prior to that I was the minister of Warialda Anglican Church (six years) and assistant at St Paul’s Tamworth Anglican Church (three years). I studied at Moore Theological college and prior to that I led an independent church while farming in the Nyngan district (western NSW). I was one of the founding members of the Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches and worked with Reach Australia (four years) to help RA get connected into regional/rural/remote Australia. I am also one of the founding members of VBC.

I am thrilled to be working with VBC because I have been working with Andrew Beddoe, since before VBC began to develop ministry training for everyday Christians. I also used VBC training at Orange Evangelical Church for about five years and saw great fruit from it. So I am looking forward to growing the reach and effectiveness of the training VBC has to offer. Our in-person live online training is particularly valuable for people in regional and remote Australia. I am from country NSW and so am excited to be able to connect country Christians with this training.

I am married to Michael and we have four primary school aged children.

I was born and brought up in South West Sydney and I have attended churches in the area since primary school when my parents became Christians. I am currently attending St Luke’s church in Liverpool with my family.

It has been a rewarding experience working behind the scenes for VBC. Over the years I have witnessed the faithfulness of the trainers as they not only deliver VBC material but get along side students to build them up in knowledge and maturity in Jesus.
